Principal's Message

re I studied neuroscience and behavior. The best decision of my professional life was pursuing a career in education after I graduated. While at UCSB I met my wife, and getting married to her was the best decision of my personal life. We have three children who all grew up in Santa Clarita, and attended our schools here Kindergarten through 12. 

Starting in the Hart District in the year 2000, I have worked seven years as a jr. high science teacher and eighteen as an administrator. Starting this first week as part of the Seco staff I already see why everybody loves this school so much. I am so thankful to be here!

 

 

Ms. August has been in education for twenty-six years and attended California State University, Northridge, with a BA in Biological Science and an MA in Educational Leadership. She has two children who attended the Hart district, graduating from Saugus and Hart High School.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mrs. Celaya has been in education for twenty-four years. She studied Anthropology at Cal State University, Long Beach, and earned a masters degree in educational leadership from Cal State University, Northridge. Mrs. Celaya began teaching in Japan, then continued teaching in Burbank. She has twelve years of experience in school administration, two of those in our district. Her family lives in Santa Clarita where her three daughters attend our local schools.
