New Campus Portal Parent App

Check out the Infinite Campus Portal apps! Pictured (to the left) is the new Parent version. There is also a specific Student version. If you update the old app, you will be directed to get the new app and can choose the Parent or Student version (you may need to refresh). These new versions allow access to additional reports, including unofficial transcripts, and a user-friendly class schedule, which will be particularly helpful when the second quarter starts on October 22.

PASE presents Angst

The Hart District invites you to attend the upcoming Parent and Student Empowerment (PASE) Night on September 12, 6:30 - 8:00 pm, at the Canyon High School Performing Arts Center. The award winning documentary Angst, which addresses student anxiety and features Olympic gold medalist Michael Philps, will be shown. For more information, please see the attachment.

The Truth About Vaping

In collaboration with the City of Santa Clarita and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, William S. Hart Union High School District invites you to attend the free annual Parent Resource Symposium discussing the Truth About Vaping on Wednesday, September 11, starting at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall (23920 Valencia Blvd., Council Chambers).

Nearly one out of every 20 middle school students in 2018 reported that they used e-cigarettes in the past 30 days, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention study. Get answers from a panel of experts and ask questions about vaping trends, the law and learn refusal techniques you can teach your student.

You Might Qualify for Free and Reduced School Meals

Dear Parents/Guardians:

The William S. Hart Union High School District (WSHUHSD) urges you to consider completing the application for the National School Lunch Program and/or School Breakfast Program. In addition to the nutritional advantages of healthy meals, eligible students will be entitled to reduced fees for Advanced Placement tests and other associated benefits.

To apply, complete one application for all children in the household and submit it to your child’s school or the WSHUHSD, ATTN: Carolyn McMahon, 21380 Centre Pointe Parkway, Santa Clarita, CA. 91350 for processing. Additional copies are available at your child’s school office, at the WSHUHSD office, or you may download a copy online at (located under the "Students" dropdown menu, Breakfast/Lunch Program prompt). Households may submit an application at any time during the school year. Information provided on the application will be used for the purpose of determining eligibility and may be verified at any time during the school year by school officials.

Schedules/ First Day!

School will begin on Tuesday, August 13, 2019, with classes starting promptly at 7:45 a.m. Students will pick up a copy of their schedule that morning. Please plan for the weekly late start Wednesday schedule (first bell rings at 8:50, classes begin at 8:55).
